Okay! Much debate.. Male or Female Silver Button!?

Thats what I figured a silver male looked like... :hmm but I was told color variations can be missing the bibs.. But the prior owner listed in the ad that they were a mated pair that produced eggs. I see no reason WHY she would lie.. Since no one asked about eggs when posting.. BEAUTIFUL male btw!!! <3

How long have you had them?

3 weeks maaaybe 4 but probably closer to 3.

Ahh thats what I figured. I mean the person who sold her and her mate had no reason to lie in their ad about her laying egg unless she hallucinates lol.

You'd be surprised how many people would lie, especially with a button quail that color. An experienced person would know what to look for to tell the sex, but an amateur would look for a bib and be done with it. But I don't think she lied to you.

Well I wondered if some color mutations had no bib so I checked the vent feathers. Being too afraid to go further and check the vent.. And she is pure silver. I was just being sure. Because I wanted to know if I needed to look for two special girls from my hatch to pair up with them lol. But they are pretty an I think would make pretty babies!
