Okay, Rebels, we Yankees need you now.

I need to be out there throwing some things together, but I have about 3 hours worth of errands to run today, and more chores when I get back. Sorry Joe! My next coop will be a pallet coop though

Well our main coop still in not finished so I got my dad to help me get a 10' wide x 10' Long x 6' heigh dog kennel to rig up a temporary play pen for the gang. We managed to wheel the heavy brooder hutch to the setup spot and put together the dog kennel around it. Put an old semi-rusted 12' chain link panel on top and used vinyl netting to cover the rest of the open spots. Mainly to keep hawks and owls out.

Anyways here is a picture of the temp setup. All nice n rustic looking. The spunky gang likes it.

I know Joe is pining away in his frozen wasteland so I've decided next week after Christmas I'll start building a double decker Silkie condominium so he can while away the time until it's livable outside again.

I've got a huge coop that's like 25 x 45 made entirely out of old pallets. I even found the door and 2x4 welded wire on the side of the road, and got the tin for the roof by removing it for a man. I did however spring for new 2x4's for the roof. I will have to see if I can find a pic.
