OKay, wiggler is warmin up............no........got a meat thermometer in there now.guess the others didnt work......will get a correct one now.........geesh........I am a wreck already

YEP, making a store run in the am.then will set eggs....so far so good with temp in air and wiggler........but want to get a wiggler thermometer I can read from looking in......... I will be back

Ok,temp has leveled out........for a while now........so I set the eggs ! I do have to go get new type thermometers .....will it be bad to open fast enough to set these in there? and which end up when first setting them? I put large end up first..............here we goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

so this is day one?

Yes Okie big end up.

I opened mine yesterday and placed another thermometer in and some more eggs. Put your new thermometer through the window on your incubator that way you loose less heat then taking the top off.

You are on your way to having fuzzy butts in 21 days!!!

Ok, eggs are in. It's day 1. Good.

You can open the bator to fill the water channels. Just try to limit it
to 30 seconds. The eggs will take a while to cool. It's the air temp that
cools fast and messes with the thermostat.

Remember, the wiggler temp is what counts (I know I've said it a million times).

Please describe or take a pic of you thermometer setup. How do you know the
current temp?

Hi, I have a meat thermometer in there until I get to a store....... it just shuts itself off.so far temps are holding......I will leave it closed until I get new thermometer for both wigglers......and then take pics.............

OK,found a humidity thingy majig..........but no real thermometer so staying with the meat one until I do............ then off to tractor supply......... Temps are holding good tonight...................

Okie is the meat thermometer acccurate enough. I'm sorta scared by it.

So you have a meat therm in 1 wiggler and what else?

I have a meat thermometer.tried another type digital with a probe inside wiggler,but didnt work.......... the air therm...is digital........ I will find another kind tomorrow..hopefully.......... or go to tractor supply........ the meat thermometer is digital to pc

What are your air temps at? In theory the air should be a degree warmer than
the wiggler. The location of the air thermometer makes a big difference in that
bator.


P.S. I candled my silkies today at day 8. Looks like I'm gonna be murdered
by silkies in another 13 days or so. They were pecking at me through the egg
and they are still just blobs. I'm dead.
