***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Wow Joe i know how proud you must be as i have felt the same when my kids did good with their animals although we never got into showing chicens as i dont know much about the show aspect of it but i wish the kids were still young cause i would love to get some show birds to raise and mess with.. i do know that if i do find some kids to show the birds and i decide to get some i will be talking to you as it looks like you know what it takes to win with.. on another note i didnt see any of those BR bantams you have or do you not have any now i sure would like to get a trio of them they are such pretty birds.. but again congrats on all the winning

Yesterday was the official first day of our house being listed on the market, by 8pm our realtor called to say there was someone wanting to see the house... at that time

because that was when we were getting the lil ones in bed we opted for a showing for the next day..

Oh my word... I got up normal time but instead of just lolly gagging around I was up and at em painting, fixing and cleaning... the house showed at 1:45(was supposed to be 2pm)

The agent of the prospective buyers called our agent with a what do you think about this offer... they buy the house as is, Offer us X amount, pay their own closing and allow us to close around the date we will be needing to leave here...

So we are "verbally" doing a counter to see if they would be willing to work with us on a few things... Not to much mind you .. just the stuff that allows us to walk away with out having to pay to much of our own closing costs ect...

If they accept then the realtors are going to do the legal paper work n we will be moving along ... So Lord willing if this works out and is legit we may see our house under contract in the next few days... and close some time around the 17th of Oct which is around the time we are planning on saying GOOD BYE OKLAHOMA(give or take a few days of course)

So this is where we are at this time.. just still busy.. but because anything can happen as real estate can be finicky business still going to work hard on getting the place picked up and shining...

Which reminds me... is there anyone here who would like to buy a horse or two... our horses are back up on the market... just asking $100 each or $150 for both.. we currently have 2 round bales still left for them to eat on, but DD is concerned that we wont find them a good reliable home.. I dont blame her.. So if you or someone you know are interested please let me know.. they are both Quarter Horse X's... Sterling is Cremelo in colouring and he has not had a coggins test... he is broke to lead rope, but not to ride.. both him and Durango (she is just starting to be broke to the lead rope)are 2 years old... If bought together they will come with both Round Bales... if sold seperatly then both Round Bales stay with the remaining horse on the property until that one finds a home... I have pics if anyone is interested...

I hope you all are having a good evening.. I am BEAT

Awesome news on the offer barn swallow!!! Great to get an offer when you just put the house on the market. Don't know anyone looking for a horse, sorry I can't help you there. My mom use to show horses when I was young, but she stopped when I was about 10, never had a horse after that. Best of luck finding a good home for them.

There is no such thing as too many pictures of nice birds!

Dustin did a great job, Joe!! You have every right to be proud.

Congrats to all the young people who are showing poultry!

Congratulations to all the kids and their wins!

My oldest grandchild is turning 8 this month. She lives with her parents in Springfield, MO. She loves chickens, and would like to do more with them but her parents (my son and DIL) don't know how to go about getting her involved in showing. Neither do I.

I'm currently looking for a reliable, older, used pickup if anyone has - or knows of one for sale. Saw a few on CL today that I might check up on, but need to get to the bank first to have cash in hand. Looking to spend around 5K. My son is coming down here next weekend to help me find one.

The little Colombian Wyandottes I got from the Jarvis' graduated to an outside pen today. They seemed to enjoy being outside, but whined this evening as it got dark and cooler. They sure are cute little boogers!

Upcdazy, I would look to sign her up in 4H as they should have a program for her to show chickens. You could also get the poultry press (news paper) to find out about open shows close to you.
