***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Michael, I Got 5 green eggs from those 6 EE today. I am going to guess that all 6 are laying. One is smaller than the others, but I catch her in the nesting box all the time. I haven't let them out to free range yet, but they are much calmer in their coop.

Hope everyone has a great time @ the green county swap & newcastle auction. I am sure I will regret not going, but we need to work on things around the farm while the weather allows us too.

Yes, I still need a stump. I have been using the railroad ties that border my backyard garden and that is not a comfortable height for using an ax.

The girls are laying more each day as the temps fall...13 from 30 hens. Also got two wyandotte eggs today. Make a total of 15 from 33 hens.

We have over 1/2 inch that has been accumulating all day...it's every bit soaked in.

Everyone have fun Saturday and post pictures.

I am guessing the batch I got from auction were hatched at the end of June. They are just a little bigger than the ones I hatched 4th July. I have them all outside, they seem to be doing good. The feathers on their neck are standing up, but they don't seem to mind the weather. They are roosting during the day, but I think they are roosting to stay dry. I do have the coop they are in positioned so they are not getting too much wind. Maybe that is helping.

Also that last peafowl egg is still forming. Hope it keeps forming & survives.

Hiya All, I know the feeling Maribeth takes me so long to catch up after I get behind LOL Michael I found a male pig he's black and white and a big pet also, I will most likely be at Newcastle tomorrow evening doubt I have much of anything to sell but might be looking for a few meat rabbits to buy if there are any

I'll let him know. They cleared out trees at the Nicoma Park property and he said they have some stumps. He thinks one of those would work great.
