***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Well I'm just going to close my eyes and not read the parts about how expensive it is to feed LF chickens. I compare it to things we don't do like going to the movies, going out to eat, driving a new car and shopping. We never do any of those things. The animals I've got (my aquariums, dogs, cats, chickens) bring me the kind of peace and relaxation that those other things don't. Some people get their peace of mine by going out to eat and going to a good movie. I get mine by sitting in my $5 lawn chair in the middle of my chickie babies

And there's nothing wrong with either way.

That is the way I feel. I kist sit there watching them. It is peaceful.

When I was going through chemo I sat out there almost every day.

Change of plans for today

Predator found it's way into my adult guinea cage. Missing 2 guineas & found 2 ripped open. I lost my last coral blue male & my jumbo pearl along with another male pearl.
Having breakfast then moving all guineas to a hoop house--- since I figure They won't want to return to their coop after the attack if I let them free range today. Today they will get new metal on their coop & run enlarged. The metal redone has been on the list, some spots in the coop were getting rusty & that is how the attacker came in. The rust spot enabled to pieces of metal to brake loose & left a hole in the side of the coop. so frustrated to know that fixing the coop was on the list, I could see it would need repairs soon. We didn't get to it soon enough. Have all the supplies. Hope by evening the coop will be much improved & the deer camera will be watching over them.

Hope I can find some new coral blues next season.

A cool 43 degrees this morning. My older DS is out in the deer woods as today is the first day of deer season. So hoping the cooler weather will bring the deer hunters better luck and get those deer moving around. Hope everyone here is having a good morning and an even better day ahead of them.

*takes notes for future reference* Do you still have your OE bantams? Curiosity... it burns me.

My daughter who lives in Norman has BLR wyandotte pullets for sale. They are bantams is the reason you all might be interested. PM me for her phone number if interested.
