I have several newly rescued chickens, mostly roosters, that need forever homes. I run Kasia's Ark Bird Rescue and am a cruelty investigator for the Humane Society of Louisiana. All are very sweet and loving, but I can't keep them all and am trying to find homes for the ones that my ex husband has and since we split up he no longer wants them. I have several people contact me saying they want roosters for cockfighting, and there is NO WAY I will let ANY of my sweet babies go to anyone who wishes them harm. They are PETS, they are loved and spoiled, get baths and regular vet visits. I can arrange transport to just about anywhere in the US.​

Yesterday evening I got a call from a neighbor to let me know that my escaped chickens were found! They are back home safe and sound. Thank goodness for good neighbors!

Trying to catch my breath. Did a quick trip to walmart & Braums. Made 4 trips from the shed gathering all the canning supplies I need. Also bought all the jars that were marked down @ walmart in anadarko. I cleared out the shelves in chicksha when I stopped in there Friday night. I txt dh & ask him to check in Lawton for jelly & pint jars. He text me back & asked how many boxes did I want & where was he suppose to put them on his bike!!! Oops forgot he was riding one last time before the cold weather takes over!!!!

Checked on a few pens of birds -- no body wants to come out & play today. Wind is blowing so hard it took the sunglasses of the top of my head. Last batch of chicks is hatching today. Then we will be done until February.

Today I noticed we had 4 dz eggs in the fridge!! Yikes! Egg production seems alot better when I stop putting them all in the incubator! Made breakfast casserole -- but of course kids didn't want to eat it, they like breakfast @ school with their friends. DD has a haloween party Friday. We have never celebrated haloween, but I am going to be a good sport & make eyeball devil eggs. She asked for devil eggs & I tried to explain everyone will be bringing candy & junk food. She still wanted devil eggs -- so I googled & found ones that look like eyeballs!!! Will take pics after I make them.

Now going to check the rest of the birds then clean my kitchen & dust.

Tell DH to just strap them on like a passenger! LOL. I do those things too.

DD eyeballs sound fun, should help you out on the over stock of eggs.

What are you going to can or did I miss that part?
