***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Coral I think we will drop by the Shawnee show, no real plans. Just playing it by ear. Sometime DD wants to look @ birds for hours & other times she only wants to look a few minutes!

"In the hospital" ? Hope nothing is wrong.
I'll be there. I might go right from work at 4:20 on Friday to go to the sale cages. I know there will be a Cochin or two that wants to go home with me.

Evening everyone!

The pain has not been as bad today so I got some work done around the house and outside. It has made me really tired so I am going to go to bed early tonight.

The mini roo got a bath today and a blow dry. Spoiled little bird. Stella totally loves him and keeps licking his waddles, which he likes a lot. Got his new cage sat up so he is running around crowing his head, telling everyone how much he loves his new digs. I think I am going to have to modify the feeder and waterer, his comb is so big he is having a hard time sticking his head into the holes. He sure is a cute guy and loves to be held. I still think everyone needs a mini lap rooster. They are very cool!!!

Well better hit the shower than head to bed. Only two days of work this week but feeling the way I do it is going to seem like longer, I can already tell.
Hope everyone has a good night!

This little Serama is just lovely. He seems to crave human company-mine even. I was catching up on the boards and he was sitting in my hand on my lap and fell asleep. I took the picture without flash so I didn't scare him, not easy to snap a picture with one hand. His tiny little feet are so warm.
I made a grate out of that plastic ceiling panel stuff (I'll snap a picture) for the bottom of his cage and it works wonderful. For litter I'd tried newspaper, shavings (they're such a mess inside), wood pellets....and his little toes still got poop on them and he had to have food baths every morning. I tried this stuff and the poop falls through, it's easy for him to walk on and he stays really clean. How have the rest of you dealt with keeping their feet clean? I'm hoping to get him a wooden rabbit hutch in the next few wks. The cage he's in now, is 20"x20" and 24" tall, is that too small? He seems content, he's on my lap or his little box on the computer table most the time.
He's just a darling little baby. Thank you, June.

thats what my little guy does, sits on my lap and chills while i am on the computer, or on the top of his cage or lately checks out the couch, sheet covered for him... what my guy really enjoys is a bowl of dirt!

Could those be modified for outdoor use?

You need to post some pictures or I will plan to come by your house while at the Shawnee show! Oh by the way we have changed our mind & won't be showing but will be there Sat to visit & see everyone. Who else is planning to be there? Are there any plans to meet up?

It is a very simple Plan, I am going to revise and make it even easier as a 12 hole cnditioning / bantam breeder pen. Even at that it will still only be 5 4x8 sheets of OSB, and 6 8ft 1x6. Some screws and hinges.
