so what ones have you decided to get rid of?

been up since 3:30... sheesh! listening to the little crows, and an occasional big one thrown in-

7-10 roos going to be processed & then I will see how many laying hens I have that I need to be replaced then there will be a second run to process. I have several batams that will go to a friend that live out here.

What are you looking for & I might be able to help you out.

Wayne do you still want the Polish?

Congradulations to Lil-sooner, a great job at yet another show..
We all have our off days on keeping track of things, I often get sidetracked talking and loose track of everything, and forget to take pics.
She needed another Big Cochin...

We found a more cost effective method of building show conditioning pens / bantam trio breeder pens for indoor use if you or anyone is interested. made a 9 hole pen for the boys for less than $100. That will really free up some space and make it even easier to get and keep the birds in good condition. Have to finish the last 3 doors today but that is pretty easy.

You need to post some pictures or I will plan to come by your house while at the Shawnee show! Oh by the way we have changed our mind & won't be showing but will be there Sat to visit & see everyone. Who else is planning to be there? Are there any plans to meet up?

Coral I will be happy to bring you some 18" doll patterns when we happen to be @ a swap or auction @ the same time. If you google there are a few free ones online, I know DD did a skirt once that we found online.

DH is out in the woods--- he is determined to come home with a deer. Last night he had 4 does & a buck walk up on him, but he wasn't able to get a clear shot of the buck. Was all I heard last night & today. DD wasn't interested in hunting this time, think it is too cold for her.

We worked on removing fallen tree limbs from the area that will be using for the goat pen. Hope by the end of next wk to have a shelter built & their pen complete. Plan on keeping one of the dogs in their pen with them @ night for safety.

Everyone else getting their winter to do list done?

Michael or anyone else close by have a wood burning fireplace? We have been stacking the good wood as we cut it, not a lot yet-- but will be at least a truckload if anyone can use it. We are just trying to clear up the fence line & such.

Thunder, lightning, and icy-cold rain here. Flash flood warnings for tomorrow.

Talked with the breeder and it looks like the does need to stay at least one more week. The middle doe, Naomi, may be ready, but the youngest, Milagra, keeps running from the buck. She is spending time with the group for meals and sleeping, but as soon as she is singled out by the buck, she takes off. I hope to have pictures from the breeder soon. I'm in goat withdrawal, so I asked the breeder to carry her camera out the next time she was headed for the pen where she's keeping my does.

jcatblum - I will keep your offer in mind. Are you going to Shawnee? I'm going unless I'm in the hospital. Maybe we can meet up there.

Going back to read posts.

It's raining now and lots of thunder and lightening...so Red is curled up in Roger's lap. Hope we get a few inches.

Joy of Joys today...Jarvisroo was standing on his good leg and putting a little weight on his sore leg without me having to get him up. I'm sure he has been doing it, but I got to see him get up today. He has an extremely healthy appetite and his systems are all functioning. He sure pays attention when i come thru the door with the treats. He gets treats after every therapy session. Roger says I need to change his name to Lucky...that rooster has sure been thru the mill!

Soaping is winding down....294 bars of soap. Tried a new recipe today for a shampoo bar. If the lather that rose up while cleaning the wand mixer is any indication...this is going to be a great bar.

It is a very simple Plan, I am going to revise and make it even easier as a 12 hole cnditioning / bantam breeder pen. Even at that it will still only be 5 4x8 sheets of OSB, and 6 8ft 1x6. Some screws and hinges.

Plans for the 12 Hole
