Nana ,wife was upset,the OU game was blacked out here! Would have cost $75 to get it on comcast! But she was happy about Ark. winning. (she is an alumini) That was sad about the coaches getting killed. and she really hated OSU losing.
Boy thats a lot of soap. I bet your spare room smells great!

So Cowboy how was the pigeon show? I got some more rollers yesterday from a good breeder. Are you raising any babys yet or do you seperate them in the winter?

Did anyone make it to the Newcastle auction last night? I have been consolidating and downsizing rabbits and chickens, so haven't made it to an auction the past two Saturdays. I hope to cover one of the dog runs with cattle panel next weekend, so I can make a pen just for NNs. Monty gave me a gorgeous blue/black NN roo and I am ready to start the blue NN/EE project to see if I can get nice blue NNs that lay green eggs. If I could get some blue maran hens, I would also work on NNs that lay dark brown eggs.

RetiredArmyWife, her husband and little 4 year old son came all the way from Lawton yesterday. When your kids are all grown and you don't have any little ones around, you forget how little and cute kids are. The little 4 year old came for 'his' chicken...selected just the 'right' one, and gentle cuddled his 'just my size' selection...a boy and his chicken.

...both seemed happy and made for each other.

Happy story.

Just checked email and here is what friend sent.

It is sunday. Checkin at nine. Entrees are around$3 alc (American Lahore Club),ama (American Mookie Assoc.) , italian owl meets. He didnt say where, my number is 580-919-7691 I will be there pretty early tomorrow morn, call and I can tell directions tomorrow when I find out.

man it has been a verry bussy week had my mom in from FL and had a nice visit

dustin did well at the show

4th in showmanship
1st and res english class champ-with susexs
1st and breed champ/champ moderngame -with brown red pullet
1st and breed champ/champ featherleg -with bantam buff brahma

he also placed high with a lot of other birds the judge said he would have won champ LF with his NEW HAMP but he had broke about 4 or 5 feathers in his wing

it is verry hard to get those masive birds to the show in good feather condition they are so heavy and it is verry easy for a 10 year old to break feathers i was verry proud of him . he showed verry well
