We found a more cost effective method of building show conditioning pens / bantam trio breeder pens for indoor use if you or anyone is interested. made a 9 hole pen for the boys for less than $100. That will really free up some space and make it even easier to get and keep the birds in good condition. Have to finish the last 3 doors today but that is pretty easy.

I have a garden experiment going on right now, before it got really cold I took a tomato and a pepper plant out of the garden and potted each and put them in an east facing window, which also faces the street, I have a couple of flourescent grow lights on them. I'm trying to see if I can get peppers and tomatoes to harvest through the winter. Well the other night I forgot to turn the lights out just past dusk, so the plants and lights were clearly visible from the street. This slightly intoxicated individual happened to be driving by, when he came to a sudden stop in front of the house and just stared for a few moments then he came rushing up to the house to tell us to be "careful" b/c our "plants" could clearly be seen from the road!!!! lol lol lol

Congrats Dustin! Aww to bad about the broken feathers,well he's worthless now ,might as well get rid of him! i guess you can dump him on me,might as well throw the pullets inwith him.

i saw a pic of Kathynmo 's the other day and boy they are pretty. I didn't think I would like them that much till I saw some free ranging. Hope you raise some next year.

You do realize someone is going to sneak in under the cover of darkness to harvest some of your "cash crop" now that the word is out, don't you?

Congrats to our prize winning youngsters!!! Love the pic. Would be cool to see more, I never grow tired of see young people involved in something worthwhile.
