Good ideas. I don't currently have anything you listed as treats, but will go get some. A few months ago I read somewhere that Lowes has the best price on meal worms but when I went there, they didn't have them. I'll make a trip to TSC. I think they have them.

Normally it has to be pitch black everyone with only the coop lit up, then they'll go in. If there's lights on outside the coop you'll never get them to go in a 4x4 box

I tried your idea, with the solar lights inside. Today was their first day/evening out of the coops, but when it started to get dark out, they didn't even look in the direction of the coops. Maybe I'll just string up some Christmas lights in there and leave them on. That would make it light AND festive!

I think those that Nana just got are bearded (are they, Nana?) Michael D has EE's all the time, that's where I got my 1st 2. I can't believe I wasn't going to keep them at 1st! Because of diseases I've decided to steer clear from auction birds unless they've been raised just at the seller's place. I get too attached to babies, I just can't do that again. If I could find some older than 6 or 8 months that'd be perfect.
Thanks, I haven't taken many pics recently since they have been molting that second album has the few molting pics, but they are starting to look better, so I may have a photo shoot day in the next few weeks when they have their fresh new feathers in completely.
Meyer is in Ohio (or somewhere near there), there is a hatchery in Oklahoma in one of the "We" towns (weleetka, wewoka, wetumka I don't remember which) but they don't have EE's or Flavorelles, or Ameraucanas (the only bearded breeds I know)

even something as simple as their crumbles in hot water, toss in a handful of scratch or oatmeal and they will follow me anywhere.... black sunflower seed is another fave for them, and ends of bread...
