***OKIES in the BYC III ***

One Dark Cornish and three Light Sussex are dry and hopping around the brooder like popcorn kernels in a hot skillet. They are spunky, spunky, spunky. They froze after the flash went off, so the photos don't show how active they are. They went to food and water on their own, so I expect they will be an easy group to raise. There are three eggs left in the hatcher. Today is the official hatch date, so I can let the slowpokes sit for two more days.

congrats on the hatch

i thing i need somone to help me stop hatching LOL all my brooders are full and im haveing to build new pens ever week to keep up with growth

Poco, that's what Dark Cornish babies look like??? I'm in love!
Joe, your electric bill and feed bill must be outrageous lol I have no idea how those of you who breed manage to keep track of the babies and breeding pens.

Congrats on the hatches this weekend! We will have to post every couple of weeks to compare growth.

So I picked up babies today at The Jarvis Enablishment...brought home a bunch of cute fluffybutts. Three are still in the hatcher. They have pipped, but the others were running and jumping and rolling them around till they were too dizzy to zip.
Will have to get a count when they are all asleep but I think there are 36 in the tank. Carl gave me a tiny 2 week old Blue d'Anvers and it is smaller than the day old babies!! It's already a snuggler.
The babies are Cochin (Blue, Splash), Columbian Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte and crosses of the Cochin roo and CW roo with my Australorp, Blue Wyandotte, hatcher BLRW splash, Delaware, Red SexLink and Minorca hens
Took a few pictures:
The Blue d'Anvers says" I'm older, but they are bigger"

If we keep moving guys, she won't be able to count us!

They ran til they dropped...this one is down ofr the count!

So far the only Iowa egg to hatch. There are two more pipped in the hatcher.

We wanted to give BanjoeJoe's new birds a run for their fluff...we have tiny fluffy butts, but they are mighty fluffy.

Thirty snoozing babies..there are some Blues in the bunch and Cochins, but you can't see their feet.

Oh Nana! The Cochin babies bring back so many memories from mine when they hatched! They're all just precious

I miss their tiny baby noises so much.
