A mountain Lion...
We have them here in central Oklahoma. Our neighbors had one killed on their property... 9 feet head to tip of tail.
Calves, kids (goats), and a colt have "disappeared". A calve was found in a tree.

Carry a big gun.

I have seen one cross the back of our place two years ago. Full moon with snow on the ground is the best time to go looking around and you can even track on a night like that.

Is a 44-40 big enough? That is what I carry when I am out and about. I am more concerned though with stray dogs, not an encounter with a cat. After all they have been here since settlement and there are no stories of attack that I am aware of.

i saw one here last weanter on my way to work early in the morning it ran across the road in front of me at first i thought it was a deer because it was so fast and agile but when i got to it it had glowing eyes and a long tail but have not heard or seen one ceance

Human attack, not livestock. LOL There are plenty of livestock stories but they have never been officially confirmed. They were hunted out over 100 years ago don't ya know.

im off to bed i have to be at work by 4:30am and then have to finalize some of the plans for the GREEN COUNTRY SWAP MEET with my local OSU ex office so a bussy day in the morning hope yall enjoyed the the pics BANJO

You passed right by our house then. The Meeker Sale barn (now called Desert Plains) is located on 5 acres our of our section. We have the rock gardens out front and all the blue and purple larkspur blooming.

That is how they are SUPPOSED to be now, tucked tight and showing the hock clearly. A LOT of the OE nowadays have the lowset wings, that is a pet peeve of mine...

Hello all. It's been several days since I've been on here. Didn't read all the posts, but glanced through them and some of the pics. Looks like everyone had a great time at POOPS last Saturday! Wish I could have made it.

My son's graduation was nice. He graduated Magna cum-laude, and I'm very proud of him! Just though I'd give him a little brag time here. He worked hard, and made it. Says he's through with school for awhile though.

There is one rain cloud in the Oklahoma sky tonight, and it happens to be over my house right now. Thunder and all. Glad for rain, for sure.
