Carl, you get that woman some seeds! How's a proper woman to survive on a lousy 10 lbs of seeds!

She added strawberry plants, gets it all rung up and ready to go then I hear "Honey, I don't have any money" Oh she got me good.. what was I suposed to do..

I did find drought resistant watermelon... now to compete with teh deer, rabits, turkeys, skunks, and every other crawling critter that likes melon.. But I have enough seeds to cover all the property, I should get to eat at least 1.

I'm back home now.. if half this stuff grows we may be running a "pick your own" fruit and vegetable thing this year.. OMG what did I get roped into.. Carah, you know the seeds I sent for last fall? I already had 2x that amount, and just dropped another $50 at the same place for more packages of seeds in similar quaintities.
Now I hear talk of raised beds in my future.. anyone know of a wooden bridge that needs taken down? it may be easier to that than go buy the lumber to place raised beds everywhere, Oh I'm in for it now..

Old pallets make good raised beds or old railroad ties. Ours are made from railroad ties that were on the property when we bought it. But I will say raised beds are sooooo much easier than a regular garden.

It was good to meet you as well. I can't wait to see if any hatch from that batch of eggs. I am praying at least 4 or 5 hatch from the 14 eggs. I would love to see a blue splash maran or two, lol.

I know all about the "do what she says" because that is how we got into the whole chicken condo building and having more chickens than coops situation we are in now.

(I just let him think it is his idea).

The target site right now is Choctaw. About 20 miles East of OKC and about the same

RetriedArmyWife and AllBreeds, I'd help with a chicken train & I promise not to even LOOK at the chicks-cuz I'd get attached in 300 yards and have to chicknap them. But yea-Carl's idea to ship them would be tons cheaper than gas driving them and arranging transport.
