The females are more reclusive and territorial then the males according to what I have read.
just like humans huh les!
I usually carry a camera with me and the last one that I saw was crossing a road, by the time I got stopped and got the camera it had dissapeared into a wheat field.
thats the way it always is when you are almost prepared!
The back road that I take home has one spot in it where I often see deer, turkey and a host of other critters. One Sat afternoon Teva and I was driving that road and there in the ditch was a doe and a fawn. She had seen the truck all the time anyway so she was in no hurry to leave and we watched them for probably five minutes until she ambled off to the North. I was kicking myself for not having my camera with me that day and when we got home I grabbed my gloves off of the seat and there was the camera. I had forgot I had put it in the truck.
nothing like watch the wildlife, we have a lot of wildlife refuge land around here so it is easy to do if you know where to go. i call turkeys right up to the truck quite often, and have walked up on fawns in the grass several times. nothing compares to the beauty of a baby animal.
did i just have a sissy moment there?
