The females are more reclusive and territorial then the males according to what I have read.

just like humans huh les!

I usually carry a camera with me and the last one that I saw was crossing a road, by the time I got stopped and got the camera it had dissapeared into a wheat field.

thats the way it always is when you are almost prepared!

The back road that I take home has one spot in it where I often see deer, turkey and a host of other critters. One Sat afternoon Teva and I was driving that road and there in the ditch was a doe and a fawn. She had seen the truck all the time anyway so she was in no hurry to leave and we watched them for probably five minutes until she ambled off to the North. I was kicking myself for not having my camera with me that day and when we got home I grabbed my gloves off of the seat and there was the camera. I had forgot I had put it in the truck.

nothing like watch the wildlife, we have a lot of wildlife refuge land around here so it is easy to do if you know where to go. i call turkeys right up to the truck quite often, and have walked up on fawns in the grass several times. nothing compares to the beauty of a baby animal.

did i just have a sissy moment there?

I'm between Kgfr. and Cashion. So not too far away.

I bet I have passed you a time or two! I got my cackle hatchery chicks from Crescent co-op. I didn't know where else to start with exception to TSC and Atwoods. Now I know a breeder that shows her birds, if my son goes that direction with 4H.
Anyway, nice to meet you, neighbor!

Went to the Newcastle auction. But I was lost and felt out of place so we left pretty quick. They had a gorgeous pair of Buff Op's I wanted and the Silkies. Oh my gosh!! But I didn't have a clue what to even do. lol But if anyone noticed, I was the one with the bright orange red hair. I know I stuck out like a sore thumb lol

ohhhh you need an auction buddy!

next time exchange pics with a few people ahead of time, then they can find you and you can find them!

at the pryor show first of the month i actually knew who 2 byc people were, but i met 5-6 more just cause i posted my pic here!

scary part was they came and found me! some people are just desperate for companionship i guess.

Not really, I like going out in the trees and seeing what I can see. If there is a big bright moon and fresh snow you don't even need a light at night to track. Well I didn't use to like 30 years ago. LOL
