***OKIES in the BYC III ***

joe is still my buddy... he is in his own cage since josie is such a cranky butt... he doesn't seem to mind, he still likes to prance around and look for treats...

Haha! We're so rooster-whipped

I have a big wire dog crate, I put Channing in it today and he watched everything I was doing outside. When I mowed I put him back under a tree so he could watch that lol He makes that loud squealing noise at the chicks at night until they shut up and go to sleep when he's tired. He's out like a light now.
(Oh-he was in the crate under the tree, not loose. A squirrel would carry him off!)

Here are a couple of new iris pics today, they just bloomed this morning. Also a pollution plant, I don't know any other name for it.

Upcdazey funny you should bring your sisters trip up today,we were watching the news tonight and they were intervieweing a guy who is walking thru Nashville headed out west to walk the conntinental divide! I was telling my wife how I always wished I had done that when I was younger. I think doing that would be so awesome. Anxious to see her blog. Tell her to please be careful,,I have heard some horror storys about bushwackers on the App trail and the Divide trail. My hats off to her, will keep her in our prayers that she has a safe and wonderful trip.

Congrats Junebug! Your putting us on the map lady!

Here are a couple of "flying flowers" from today too, seems like there are alot more this year, don't know whether to laugh b/c of the beauty or cry b/c of the increase in plant eating caterpillers.

Kass - nice pictures!

Yep, I think the bugs are going to be bad this year, caterpillars included. Ticks are already out, and those darn crane flies are finally thinning out. It's funny to watch the chickens go after them though.

jcatblum - an easy fix for your daughter's wanna-be house chicken is a chicken diaper! I've made some for my Seramas. They didn't like them at first but will tolerate them. The chickens don't come in very often but when they do, they have to wear the diapers.
