***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I know that sometimes ASAP isn't soon enough. Teva and I have been looking for a place that is just right for a few years now. It's either that or buy out the neighbors as their places come up for sale which is another option. The other morning I could not get a good shot at a Coyote because I would be shooting at a house. Getting way too crowded out here. LOL

What is a tin horn and why did you put them in your creek?

when a bull loses one of it's horns, you make one out of sheetmetal so it will not develope an inferior(sp.) complex. I needed something as a filler so I would use less dirt.

A tinhorn is a pipe that is used in ditches in driveways also called a culvert pipe.

Howdy everyone, speaking of tornados we had a couple here last night one touched down about a half mile from our place. It wasn't real bad knocked a bunch of trees out and mangled some power lines but nobody was hurt. It came with a heck of a storm, 6in. hail but we only got some golf ball size so all is well here. Hope everyone is safe tonight.

That is how it is here as well, we thought about that option when we first bought this place almost 3 years ago... we were going to by the house to the south of us and make the property a full five acres and maybe rent out the lil home but hesitated to long and "THE" neighbors bought it... but feel there is always a good reason and we are glad we didnt go that route now that we see how developed our road has become...

Talked with our favorite elderly neighbors that live on the other side of "THE" neighbors and they have been here for 50 years and although they have quite a bit of land(he raises cattle) him and his beloved wife are having the "talk" as well because they are feeling "fenced in" with all this urban development...

I will be honest the house living we are talking about right now is something we want to have to tie us over for the next 5.5 years(how many we have left until he retires from 20 years army service) and then we will be seriously looking at our final destination.... and have been looking FAR EAST OKLAHOMA for that aspect of home living... but for now we need something to tie us over and keep us sane until that time comes... I literally have anxiety attacks when it comes to city living and it was hard(although beautiful) when we lived in Colorado and needed a place to live close to Fort Carson and dont get me started on how I was driving up to the Denver/Brighton area to visit my mom and brothers... .... I am a WIDE OPEN SPACES kinda girl... Anyhoot... it will come I know it will and I know you two will find that lil piece of Heaven soon...
