Cute, cute, cute! I can't wait to buy tickets for the raffle! Here's the earrings for the POOPS raffle! After much procrastination of my own, I finally got these finished.![]()
The pic is a little blurry and the lighting stinks but it gives you the idea. A lot of the paler colors and details got washed out. They're much nicer when you can see them up close. In addition to the chicken beads, I had some easter egg beads left over so I made a few of those too. I hope everybody likes them.![]()

Wow, Sparta's way good looking and the others are all growing so fast! :-OWe had ALL the chicks outside today except for the three I hatched out since they are so tiny. Got the chicken wire finally put up! My bucks decided to go inside the coop and that chick feed was the best thing ever. I had a heck of a time keeping them out so we could get work done. Silly boys. My doeling was too cute checking everyone out. Today was a beautiful day.
Here is Sparta with his girls who are pretty much the same age but bigger than him already. I'm going to get him a girl or two later on down the road. He is so pretty I love watching him outside.

Thanks Tony I'll be trying this, Would you leave the bamboo section with the node in the middle long or shorten it closer to the node? Since some nodes have starts coming out on 2 or more places around the node can you split the bamboo lengthwise to separate the different shoots? I could get lucky and have some started by POOPS this way but most likely since that's just around the corner root sections will be best.If you cut the cane between each node where the little plantlets are trying to grow, you can root each one. Shove them straight down in some loose soil so where the part growing off the cane is about an inch below the soil level with the leaves facing up above ground. Water well and don't let them dry out this summer. Treat them just like you would seedlings and you'll have plenty on new plants to plant, trade or give away. Would make a great privacy fence too.BTW, They'll root in water too. Just takes longer for them to get established when you plant them out.![]()
