and glad the storms are over for you.

Good Morning Folks! Did anyone brood Wyandottes this spring? I was wanting to buy a few teenagers for a birthday present. I guess they don't have to be Wyandottes. Does anyone have extra hens and a rooster or 2 they would like to sell?

Several folks here have Wyandottes.
I'll be bringing some to POOPS...I have Columbian Wyandottes and some CWyandotte/Australorp cross.

Going to samsclub in a few. Will pick up buns. Right now I see that someone is bringing a flat of each type of buns. Someone please tell me a guess of how many buns are in a flat so I can pick up enough buns to cover the rest. Thinking a flat is 12 pks but not sure.

Nana, that picture is darling lol
I just love my lone Silver Laced Cochin that was born Saturday. He/she is living with the 2 wk old Bantam Cochins in the brooder and is twice their size :) The big Cochins just seem to have that extra something about them that makes me love them most. 2 more go into lockdown today and 5 more in about a week.
I'm trying to find some Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana eggs and that'll be it then. I have a 15x20 area with posts already set I had been going to use for the Turks and placed them. I'd hate for it to go to waste :D

Mitzi we have 1 blue Wheaton roo but he is the only one I have. Ordered the eggs online, couple yrs ago.... He was the only to hatch (got to loge shipped eggs). If you find some eggs we would take spare chicks!

You are going to have to post a picture of your entire pen set up...you keep building pens and in my imagined picture...you must have an acre of pens!!!

Anyone in northern OK ... Kay county to be specific? We're trying to go away for a few days and need someone to care for the critters. We asked some people we knew in town but when they came over today they wouldn't even listen to what I was telling them needed done and the man kicked my chickens! I was so mad.

What do others do when they have to be gone for a few days to keep up with their birds? We were only going to be gone for four days ... but don't want neighbors calling the city and saying that no one is taking care of the animals.

Can you put out feed and water for that long? if so go get some cheap light timers and set up some in different rooms of the house so people think you there!!! Have your mail held at the post office and newspaper held till you get back! Thats all I can think of!!1 Anyone else help here???
