Here's my Dominiques out enjoying the early morning sunshine. It's not a great picture of them, but it's the only one I could get that wasn't "R" rated. That darned rooster! Early mornings are not family-friendly photo time.

DId you notice the tiny one? You know you want to adopt it LOL I'm thinking someone needs too so it will have a better chance to make it, Right?
Oh, now you're just being mean! You all can save your breath about "Mitzi and the Piggies". I HAD a pig before and that was pig enough to last me 3 lifetimes lol! Those darling little faces don't fool me. Same wtih goats and poor starving colts at the auction :-D
Look at this cutie!!! They are so calm compared to the chickens. They seem to enjoy attention and being talked too. I think I'm in love!
Did I ever tell you about the super overweight pot-bellied pig someone dumped off on me with some sob story?? I had to worm the dang thing and clip its teeth and it was NOT tame like the people claimed. I finally got a hold of it but the only way to hang on was lay on its back and ride it like a little bucking bronco. (I was only 100 lbs back then-haha!) I rode that pig all over the yard while my son (3 yrs old at the time) stood at the gate yelling, "Go Mama Go!!!"

Who said something about finding Oxine locally? I was going to order we still have over a gallon but I dont' want to wait until last min. to order. I want to get some while I have a bit extra in the chicky fund to buy some. I tried our local feed store but when they checked for us they said their supplier had never heard of Oxine. So I am willing to drive a bit to find it if it saves me shipping costs. Oxine and Denegard are two things I will always keep on hand now for our birds.

Oh! I forgot my best news of all today ) My little Faverolles pullet's crop was completely flat this morning when I let them out. So she's digesting everything! She still gets meds for another 8 days. I hope I don't have to deal with it again.

Morning all. More guineas are hatching today, Cathie will you be @ Blanchard? Hopefully I will have your keets, lots of movement going on in their hatching tray.
Put an extra light out last night in the grow out pen, I was scared the birds would get too cold. I also turned our heat on inside, just to make sure the keets didn't get a chill. Now time to flip the thermostat back over to cool.
Need to come up with something for dinner, guess I should inventory the fridge. Never in my life made instant rice before last night, but my sister uses it for EVERYTHING. Took chopped up left over chicken - 2 cups chicken broth 1- cup salsa brought to a boil -- added 2 cups instant rice, turned it off & topped w cheese. Came out very yummy for being so simple 10 minutes spent cooking dinner. Next time I will throw veggies in with it.

You should get lots of signs come November. We got all of ours during the election cycle in 2010. The City of Edmond said that come 7 pm election night we were welcome to take down all the signs we wanted, as it would save them having to do it. I got a bunch of t-posts that way too.
I want to buy Oxine locally too!

Whooo hooo, I was just telling hubby I needed to buy some keets our two are lonely since their brooder mates move outside to the outside brooder. I am moving these two this weekend to the outside brooder with a light. I need that brooder space for all the babies hatching in the house. We are planning on being at Blanchard. Kurt has done nothing but bug me about going this week. Amazing what happens when girls catch their eye! LOL
