Well I figured out how to load from my computer Documents, now to try from a email file!!! Hey Monty what do you think of this pair of Spaingled Toppy Game fowl?!?! Recognize the hen??? She is laying great, home she goes broody soon or I am moving some eggs to another broody from here, Thanks, I love her and she is exactly the color of my Rooster!!! Lynn

She is looking good! I am glad you like her. I wanted to cross her with a spangle round head rooster but Jared has an aversion to Toppies for some reason. I hope you get a bumper crop out of this lovely pair!

Ok, I was hit again tonight! But got this one too! The second black rat snake in as many days. The photos don't do it justice but it was every bit 5' long.

Moved my chicks tonight until I can make their brooder snake proof, but when I started, there were 58, tonight there is 50.

This is what I saw when I went to check on them!


Mitzi wanted to know how I use tongs; for size comparison, my tongs are 40" long and 1" diameter.


You see, as I stated earlier, I'm not gentle, just squeeze the....out of it so it can't get away...and a snake this long does not like to be held!


The rest of the pics are too graphic...let's just say it was destroyed with a vengeance!

Oh.My.God! He was curled up in there with the tiny babies??? I'd have had a hysterical fit! I love the snake tongs, I'm getting the 40" also. Did you see the snake bites pics on that sight? Gruesome. In the 19 yrs we've lived here we've seen few snakes around here, maybe a dozen total. But this is the 1st years we've had this many birds, too. I bet the snakes bred like crazy this year with all the rain.
That's a big snake!

Mitzi - I know what you mean, when I rescued I was out tons of money and no one ever wanted to give me what I had in them. I wasn't a registered charity, it's not like I got donations, so I was just out the money to try and find them homes. What really frustrated me was sometimes you were lucky to just give some of them away because they weren't a desireable breed. I was lucky that most were very good dogs, I only had one out of the 40ish dogs that I placed that was a problem dog. Now I have problem dog number two and not only is he a problem, but disabled too, so double wammy. ergh.

wow I need to get me some of those! The one we had yesterday was a bit shorter than that. I'm having trouble finding a pattern that matches it, so not sure what ours was yet.

Morning all! Man that's a big snake!!! I use to catch them and give them to some of my snake buddies, but they have all passed away or are MOVING TO TEXAS!!! (Teach!!!!) Well my wife said I need to go check the little pigs, the one that got out 3 times is coughing, all I have here is Penicillin so guess I'll give him some and try to get some Tylin 300 when I get my check if he makes it till then! If it aint one thing its another!!! Life on the farm!!! Have a great Memorial day all!!! Lynn

My daughters birthday is wednesday and she finally told me what she wants. She wants two baby duckies . Sooo any one have any duckies for sale?
