***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hi fellow Okies I bought a mallord duck last night. He is almost full grown but the poor thing was so wet and muddy you couldn't tell what color he was paid $2 for him. Gave him a bath and and blow dryed him cause he was shivering and now he is a happy duck. And he is beautiful .

I am in love with my Ameracaunas. I am always on the look out for some blues or splash. I have 7 lavender and 1 white. I can't imagine my flock without them. I have used them with a Welsummer & a FCBM rooster to make some Olive Eggers. I am also very partial to the Naked Necks and I am always on the lookout for blues in this area too. My breeding/hatching project this Spring was Olive Eggers. Next Spring my breeding/hatching project will include Naked Necks, Barred Rocks and also breeding my Olive Eggers back to a FBCM roo for a deeper olive color.
I am going, wouldn't miss it. I'm going to have a bunch of stuff...in young birds, a pair of belgian d'anvers, 2 pairs of Wheaten OEGB (roo line), 2 pairs of wheaten Ameraucanas, 1 pair of blue and splash ameraucanas, and some EE. For adult birds, a pair of black ameraucanas, a pair of EE, 1 big black spanish tom, and I've been debating about a buckeye pair. Of course, tons of coturnix quail all colors, probably a few button quail mated pairs....tons of eggs to included Australorp hatching eggs...its hard telling what all else, this is just off the top of my head, lol.

My farm is NPIP, to include the quail, peafowl and game birds ...

Is there anything in particular your looking for? Thanks for asking!

really starting to like this spangled old english i got last night. At first he acts a lil rough but you get him out tuck him under your arm and rub his comb he is just as happy as can be. think im gonna name him clover. His tail has the prettiest green in it.

Im having a yard sale today and I have sold more chickens than I have other stuff. Lol what can I say babby chickens are cuter than puppies. You almost can't give away a puppy.

My DW is working on olive eggers...she's got the same breeds you do! I've got some awesome blues I'm taking tonight to New Castle, 2 pairs, these are from M Gilbert stock.

Going to Newcastle tonight, bringing some young Lavender x Black pairs and 2 of my foundation Lavender hens. Also bringing a Mille Fleur x Mottled roo that is really pretty and has nice type.
- looking forward to seeing everyone.

I cant go its my mums birthday so i will be spending time with her. Gonna go fix her coop up so we can bring her to the dark side! She said since im getting a good collection she would take afew off my hands lol.

The hens I have from the Welsummer cross are an absolutely gorgeous cinnamon color with lots of blue in them. The FCBM crosses are just about 6 weeks old now. Most are black, but I did get a gorgeous blue chick with a pea comb that I am thinking and hoping is a roo and also a solid white one with a pea comb and feathered legs that is looking like a female.

LOL! I've never had a duck...but all the ducks I've hunted, fall or winter...I've never seen a true wet duck or one that was shivering...all that under down normally keeps them warm and dry. Must have been because he was muddy too.

glad you're giving him a great new home.
