***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I am in love with my Ameracaunas. I am always on the look out for some blues or splash. I have 7 lavender and 1 white. I can't imagine my flock without them. I have used them with a Welsummer & a FCBM rooster to make some Olive Eggers. I am also very partial to the Naked Necks and I am always on the lookout for blues in this area too. My breeding/hatching project this Spring was Olive Eggers. Next Spring my breeding/hatching project will include Naked Necks, Barred Rocks and also breeding my Olive Eggers back to a FBCM roo for a deeper olive color.
I bet your olive eggers are pretty you should post pic of them

I haven't been able to find my camera and my phone pics just don't do them justice. Guess I'm gonna have to break down and get a new camera.

[Bo and Scoots] Forrest Beauford passed Wensday

I didn't know him but I'm sorry you lost a friend. Seeing your post makes me realize how real everyone here is and not just words on a computer screen,

I posted this on the NEOCS thread but thought I would post it here too...
Will anybody be bringing any true rumpless Aracuanas to NEOCS? I am very interested in this breed but only have room for a couple.
I answered your other post, but yes-BanJoe will have some.
And like I said-since I went with incubating eggs instead my greedy-chicken-fingers aren't getting any of the chicks so there'll be more for you all

GunMama (where on earth did you get that name? lol) I'm glad your little cockerel is doing better!

Hi fellow Okies I bought a mallord duck last night. He is almost full grown but the poor thing was so wet and muddy you couldn't tell what color he was paid $2 for him. Gave him a bath and and blow dryed him cause he was shivering and now he is a happy duck. And he is beautiful .

really starting to like this spangled old english i got last night. At first he acts a lil rough but you get him out tuck him under your arm and rub his comb he is just as happy as can be. think im gonna name him clover. His tail has the prettiest green in it.
That's the most awesome color! OceansEven has a baby Spangled cockerel she's wanted to place if you know of anyone who'd like one of the little guys. And that's just how all of them are that I've ever had. Tuck them under your arm for 10 minutes and they're your best friend for life!

Oh, and the Guineas are hatching. We put 9 Guinea eggs under a broody Marans hen the other day because I needed both incubators to fit my Ameraucana and Araucana eggs.
Christina, didn't you say they hatch fast once they start? I'm going to snatch them out from under the hen as they hatch and stick them in a brooder.
Um....Tony...? Still want Guineas? lol

GunMama (where on earth did you get that name? lol) I'm glad your little cockerel is doing better!

I used to be on Myspace and played a game called mobsters. I figured mobsters had guns and I am a mama so I got Gunmama and it kinda stuck. Lots of people I met in that game still call me mama, even though they are my age, to this day lol

I do have a pond a very big pond. We had a small pond but it dryed up last year so while is was dry hubby rented a backhoe and was digging for 4 days now we have a big pond .

Are you the lady I gave the OEG egg to after the auction?
