OMG this is a hoot! That picture needs to be on the front page of BYC haha!!
The naked Hoodas are adorable and I love the Arauacanas you got. My 3 Ara chicks are super calm and talky-I'm assuming yours are also?

Yes, and I am so glad to hear yours are calm, I was beginning to worry.

Well, the broody mama took all the chicks. :) The little one that I stuck under her last night was totally shrink wrapped this morning when I got up. I took the rest of the shell off. It had absorbed the yolk and the veins, so I cleaned it up and stuck it back under again. When I got home from NEOCS this is what I found.

They're zipping around like they knew what was going on and everything. Thanks to Okieridge for hatching them for me. Turned out awesome because she really needed chicks.

And here's my sweetheart once we got home. Banjoejoe, I love her! Thank you! I'm *SO* glad throwing money at you worked.

I would have hated to have to resort to throwing myself in front of your truck as you were trying to leave. (But I was TOTALLY prepared to do it if I had to!

) I knew when I saw her picture a few days ago that she needed to come home with me. :)

And here's my guineas from KSane! Mitzi! They are SO freaking cute. They are very vocal though. All the way home: "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How 'bout now?" And now in the brooder they're still talking it up "Hey, stop touching me. No you stop touching me. MA! MAKE HIM STOP TOUCHING ME! MOOOOOOOOOOOOM HE'S LOOKING AT ME!" No, wait, that's my kids.

Coral, you did an awesome job. I had so much fun. I hope Bob settles in soon for you and he's a happy guy with your ladies. Would you mind posting a picture of him sometime? I feel bad I couldn't set up separate pens so he could stay here, but he's going to be so happy with girls of his own. Thank you for taking him. Thank you for all the work planning too. It was awesome. Sorry I had to leave early, but Bro. George's abbot said I had to have him back for Vespers.

I forgot to say, I bought the prettiest earrings EVER at the auction. I didn't realize when I got them home that they aren't an exact matching pair. There's ONE HEN AND ONE ROOSTER!!! ZOMG! I wish now I hadn't been so cheap (ie: worried about gas money to get home!) I should have bought the green ones too!!

Was great getting to put some faces with all the names. DD loved all her new chickies. She squealed when she seen the frizzles and squealed again when she seen the silkies. Came home with 12 new cluckers total. 3 silkies, 2 blue cochin frizzle bantams, 1 serama, 5 americauna cross and 1 mutt from mamapoppybee. Will take pics of them all sometime this week. I had to come home and clean out the large crate we had altered for chicks for the bigger 6 chickens we got. Apparently it had decided to start growing penicilin. Grabbed a shower, grabbed a stiff drink and dinner. I might sleep pretty good tonight!

Think I had 3 new chickens to come home too. They are free range around the house and yard. They have no feathers and don't sound like normal chickens. Hmm maybe that is because it is my 3 craz kiddos pretending to be chickens11

We made it to NEOCS a lil after 8 and looked around for awhile, talked to a few people. I mentioned BYC a few times hoping I would meet some of you. No Luck! And if I did meet someone from here, I didn't know it.

It was smaller than I had thought it would be. ( which means nothing, this was my first chicken meet/swap) BUT I really enjoyed myself. As I have mentioned before we have all bantams, and want it to remain that way. Guess who fell in LOVE with the standard cochins, "BIGG-UN" !!!! Go figure. . . . . they were beautiful. We did end up getting two new girls, even though I had been told NO-MORE before we left the house.
