Jump in and tell us about yourself and your chickens, feel free to share pics! This is a great group of people and we all have a blast here, make yourselves at home. As a reminder there is a grand chicken event coming up on June 16th,2012 in Muskoogee, call the NEOCS (North East Okla. Chicken Stock) and all are invited to come out and enjoy the visiting ,trading, swapping, good food, and good times!!! Bring a friend and introduce them to the chicken world!!! Have a great day all, I have to get around and get stuff loaded to head to the Guy Rose Auction(poultry and Misc.) south of Stillwater on 177 Hiway about 3-4 miles north of Perkins!!! Come join us there. Lynn

Hi everyone sorry I haven't been on in a while just been crazy busy. I went to Newcastle auction last night and my hubby wanted some turkeys so I bought him two little ones. He is not all into birds as much as I am but when he said he wanted a turkey I was shocked so I was glad to buy him some. Now he has his own birds and he can be apart of my chicken hobby. Lol I got to meet several byc members last night and got to chat with them so I'm a happy camper. :)

My little americona chicks are growing fast and are starting to get their colors. My chicks are blue black and splash. The splash chicks are turning out beautiful. Does any one have a pic of a full grown blue splash americona?

The most calm roo in the world i ever had was a Cuban i got from Cubanlongtail on BYC,,, Iv had whiteleghorn's an bardrock's an E.E's that got mean ...A girl next door gave me a E.E she had hand raised this yr from a chick she bot at Atwoods he will flog you. She said wen he nockd the bucket of feed out of her hand that was the last straw...Macy was happy about wat her peach's an neckterns brot bird's prise wer up last night to ..At Newcastle it was so great to see all the BYCers ther...
Those peaches were delicious - there are few things much more delicious than a sweet, jucy peach. It is so disapointing when peaches never get soft or get any flavor - usually store-bought ones. They seem to need to ripen or nearly ripen on the tree.

Woot woot found two peachicks in cement Oklahoma - stopped south after service and picked them up both from different pairs both heavy pix bloodlines. I cannot wait!!!

So any tips on these little guys? They took the trip back like troopers and they are now in the brooder all by them selves.
