***OKIES in the BYC III ***

See nature-type peaceful healthy living is bad for you. LOL

Good thing that you recovered from the ordeal and are doing great.

Thanks! Yeah, gotta watch that healthy living stuff.

Tonight Teva got dispatched for a run out of Chickasha since all of their vans were busy. She had 2 hours and 5 minutes to pick the crew up and take them to their train. She was 3 minutes late. She flat did not let any grass grow under those wheels!

I may have to bring the brooder babies in this week. They have been in the porch brooder without a lamp

for weeks. I don't know if they are acclimated enough to endure 111 degrees. Tuesday and Wednesday will be worse: 113 is going to make earlier high temperatures look pleasant.

Have a great day, everyone. Stay in the shade : )

Auction last night was just off a little to me - every bird went for a gooooood ammont or next to nothing. I bought seramas for less for a pair then I have spent for them each in pairs weeks past. Over all just one of those things - I came out with everything sold and for more then I wanted, others there for much much much less then they wanted.

Always something there to learn, I still don't understand the ummmm discussion over the debeaked birds but it was good to see some in person and know what they look like.

Did not see any of the breeds I was looking for/needing so bought very little. Still need silkie rooster, Japanese rooster, among a few others. Anyway - guess I get to look at the next one! (unless someone knows of a few (and hens too... Never can have to many hens!) for sale let me know!)

Off to church - then got to Wach these birds to keep them all going.

Well I drug the oldest out of bed(funny how he can get up at 5am when he wants to go lift weights but not when I have things to do!!!) Got him working on goat housing and water buckets, I made sausage, gravy, canned biscuits and buttered toast!!! Coffee is made, I have to vent, I am sorry folks but I am so tired of kids attitudes today!! They act like we owe them everything they want and they should not be asked or told to do anything they don't want to, if you bust their b--ts then everyone complains but nobody want to take them and deal with them, they just want to tell you how to do everything, they do listen, don't acknowledge you when you speak to them, they glare at you, talk back, mumble, half way do everything you send them to do!!!! DON'T GET ME WRONG!!! I DO LOVE MY KIDS!!!! Just not sure where I went wrong in raising them! And to top it of, when they go with or do stuff for other people they work hard, they are polite, they laugh and have fun!!!! Then people don't understand where I get upset with them, sometimes I think it is a secret plan to drive me crazy!!! Thank you all for letting me vent, if it offends some of you I apologize!!! Have a great day, stay out of the heat and take care, Lynn

Somebody told me once that you can't stand your kids from age 12 until they move out. I raised my three and it's true. I think they're cute as kids so you're attached enough not to kill them as teenagers. LOL Now I'm starting over with my Shane. I think he is starting early with the teen attitude (he's only 4) Vent away I think we all have kids and can relate.

Speaking of heart stuff...

Happy Death Day to me!!

9 years ago today, my heart stopped and I was clinically dead for an indeterminate amount of time while on a camping trip. It stopped twice more that day before I was stabilized. Every day since that has been a gift. Life is good.

Haven't gone camping since. :)
Wow Glad it restarted!

Oh if I were alone it wouldn't be as big of a deal. I am with a coworker here and she turns in at 5:30 or 6 each night. Drives me insane!!!! So then I have to find something to do besides sit in the quiet of the room. She says the TV gives her seizure headaches (the flashing of the picture changing) she wears sunglasses inside because of some visual thing she says she has and well the guy on the plan coming up here "sat to close" so now her shoulder aches @@. I would be in heaven if I had known we were so cut off from everything here. I could have brought my cross stiching or books to read. I didn't because I thought we would be busy either in conference or sight seeing. I brought my nook but once it died it wouldn't charge again and no way to get to a store to buy a new one. The shops here are crazy expensive and the food in the hotel is not horrible but I paid $15 for a ceaser salad last night! I am to used to Oklahoma lol!!! Next time I plan on renting a car.
Seriously?? She won't even let you watch T.V.? Is there anybody else you can bunk with?

insane! if i wanted those temps i'd move back to new mexico or arizona! good grief!
