I had guessed this place to have around 30 native pecan trees but I know the drought killed almost half last year, I have the thickest growth of poison ivy around the bases of most of these trees the last time I tried to cut it out I ended up with a really good case if it and all the cutting and pulling didn't make much difference, So I bought goats and they are slowly eating it down the thing to remember is not to get too playful with the goats or you'll think you had been romping around in the stuff yourself LOLLove the pictures of birds and little helpers!
Has anyone checked their pecan trees this year? We have between 35 and 40 native pecan trees that are holding their nuts even with the drought. Looks like we will need to find someone to shake and harvest for us this year since our regular man retired his business last year.
