***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hi folks, just finished cleaning coops and in to get some inside work done, anyone coming from OKC towards muskogee anytime soon? June has some serama girls for me

I use tapatalk on my iPhone. Had issues with iPhone 4 - then got 4s & it worked a few wks then died. Got a new 4s now it works again for now. Never had issues with out forums. Just BYC. Was reading a thread the other day about them beta testing a mobile version of BYC but not sure of the release date.

I have some nice RIR (heritage & rose comb) but not hatching right now. Was a guy @ poops in 2011 had nice RIR but dnk who it was. Mike can prob find you some if no one else chimes in.

Just saw fire west of anadarko, and they are evacuating people. Not exactly sure of the location-- hope it doesn't come near you Mike! Wind sure is blowing hard to combat a fire.

MacGuyver and Christina-I don't want any more chicks to raise! These Cochins don't need any more eggs. I've been raising separate batches of chicks since March 2nd when the Bantam Faverolles hatched at Carl's. I've got the newly hatched BBR Phoenix and I swear to God-those 2 Shamo eggs are at the mercy of the 4 girls fighting over them. I'm not raising them and I'm not turning the incubator on lol
Robin, Green Country is coming up in 3 wks so hopefully someone will be going your way. If it comes down to it, would you be able to meet me 1/2 way again? I'd be willing to go get them at Junes and bring them to our previous meeting place.

Chirstina tell Alexis congrats on the car!!! Matthew is 19 and still doesn't have one of his own. He has been driving my car or the suburban. Hopefully when my car is paid off we can start saving for me a truck and give him my car.

Mitzi those poor hens, but with the way your numbers work I wouldn't be suprised if they hatched twins out of each egg, lol. Although it has to be a hoot to watch those girls fight over those two eggs!

Wish I could get some ducks but I really don't know how to care for them and hubby just wants to put them out at the pond. I know they will quickly become bobcat food or fox food. We have a red fox hanging around. We have seen it twice now so I don't want anything free ranging other than the guineas and roosters (they are minimal losses when it happens, lol).

I have 2 black runners from Holderead that may need homes. Yes they are hatchery-- but far from your average hatchery! They are suppose to have the best stock in the country. Haven't tried to sex them, they are 3 months old & were packing peanuts. My sister was suppose to take them, but they are still here. I know p&b hatched some runners this yr too.
Hi jcatblum,
I'd love to take the duckies now but I have to wait until spring. Someone else said good things about Holderread stock. I just want a few and they will only ship 10. Thought it would be better to buy local if I jsut wanted 3 or 5 or so. Oh, heck. Who am i kidding. I'll probably get 10. heehee.

Forgot to ask who is p&b?

If a broody sits on a fertile egg for like 4 hours, can it be removed and stored as a fertile hatching egg or will it no longer be storable as such? Maybe losing its ability to develop later on if put in an incubator.

I guess I have coyote problems lately I'm missing my big BO roo and a hen a couple of ducks and a goose just in the last few days time to set out some prevention and elimination measures before they start tearing into the pig and goat areas, I already miss my big rooster I got him at the last Fletcher auction and he has been just wonderful, at least I have a couple of his sons that are growing fast and a bunch of pullets coming on they are really turning out big and eat like it too,
