I was leaning more towards Sultan too, it has five toes on one foot, and four on the other, so then that threw me off!! I'll just have to wait until it gets big and let it be a surprise!!Cute!Polish are clean legged so I would say it is a Sultan.
Ksane at Newcastle show we had some standard modern .standard Cornish.even standard Malay

Ummm you get any extra heritage RIR I would love to buy them!!!! LOLElbert that poor bird! I say it is a haloween appropriate pic.
Sure feels warm today after that horrible cold front. Went out to milk Lucky & she jumped up on her stand as soon as I entered the pen with my supplies. Hot wire went into service yesterday & kids opened the other goat pen, Bambi wouldn't come out the gate. Took 20 min to encourage her & get her to believe it was safe. Goats are very smart, just seem to use their brains selectively. You would think they should know their names, but nope. If the UPS man comes Bambi always jumps up in his truck no matter how many times I say her name. Thankfully our driveway is 1/4 mile long & we have learned to get a headstart on holding her back. Silly goat.
I really want to hatch some more heritage & rose comb RIR, but I am not ready to set them up in their own pen. Plus I saw my biggest NN roo get beat down by my fav rose comb yesterday. Thinking my pretty RIR roo may not stand a chance with her.
Every one enjoy the warmer weather this week!!!!
I think that will be plenty of room esp. once you add a few roosts. Nathanael's OEGBs are living in XL size dog crates. We took the trays out of the bottoms and then put hay in so they are on the ground. Only 3 pairs are in smaller cages but they will get to free range in the hoop house during the day so not to bad of a set up. I like that pen your building we may think about something like that for Nathanael's birds.Emily, I still say Sultan on that one. Sultans (and Silkies) have 5 toes and feathered legs. Polish are clean-legged and have 4 toes. Yours looks like it has actual feathers and not the down-like fur of a Silkie.
I'm getting caught up getting the boys separated. I've got this 4x8.5' pen I made, I have to line the bottom wire 2' up with chicken wire, put the floor in, roof it, enclose the coop, make roosts. The enclosed coop is where the red lines are, it's 30"x48", the whole 2 1/2' x 4' area there the coop is plus underneath is going to be enclosed in pickets, then the coop will be plywood. That way they'll have an enclosed and covered area underneath the coop also. I'm putting my Lavender Bantam Ameraucana boy and the 5 Sebrights in here. The Sebrights are so tiny, smaller than pigeons full grown. This particular Lav Ameraucana bantam is the smallest one of all in both hatches of them. With the coop and all the bottom area underneath there's 44 sq ft, it'll be 6' tall after the roof. I think it'll be enough room for them, won't it? I always worry I'm crowding them. If it doesn't feel like it's enough room after winter I can always build them another enclosed wire pen to attach to it.
