That's awesome! I'll show my husband and daughter the picture, they'll get a kick out of knowing 4 of them are "Speedy's" babies.
Alright-I may have to hit up the LF Cochin list with this question also....this is Lillith, she's 16 wks old tomorrow, she's out of the big Brown Red Cochin boy I have here and a Brown Red Cochin hen, but the hen has such faint gold markings on her neck that she looks almost black. Lillith is coloring up like a male BR Cochin but I've always been sooo sure Lillith was a girl. No chest bumping, no confrontations with the males, nothing. When you guys look at this picture-is your 1st thought boy or girl?
Love finches! Looks like those might be two males! More reason to get more!lol.
Happy Thanksgiving Eve everyone! We will be headed toward Okla. sometime this afternoon! Hope everyone has safe travels and a great Holiday!
I made the last batch of ice cream for our big family gathering tomorrow: butter-pecan. It's not as firm as I expected it to be. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that freezing the container will solve the problem. I used a different brand of heavy cream. I hope I haven't ruined it. Maybe there's time in the morning to make one more batch. I should have known better than to use a new recipe. . . Experiments should never be conducted when there's a deadline.
Ksane - Does Lillith have any pointy saddle feathers? I can't really tell in the photo. The stance looks male to me.
I can't really tell,Poco. I'm in denial lol Kass seems to see them though. Someone on the Cochin list just said cockerel also. Dang. I can't believe it :-/ She (or he, I guess) grew up with the Orloff girls, there's 7 of them now-just lost one. I guess Lillith gets her own yard with her 'Loffs if she's really a boy. (Still in denial here).
