***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I don't know if this worked or not we'll see I cropped the pic and lightened the exposure a little

Well it didn't make the pic as large as I intended but I definately see saddle feathers.

Kass, the Cochin breeder on the LF Cochin list saw saddle feathers along with hackle feathers coming in, too. Plus MJ breeds Cochins and so far I'm the only one still insisting Lillith is a girl

awww... you have a squad too!!! ours are all over the place, and will chase the younger chickens so i have to keep an eye on them- but they have the most beautiful eyes!

When you guys look at this picture-is your 1st thought boy or girl?

my guess is roo too, and they are alot slower to develop- here are my 2, so you can compare feathers

Mr Peabody

Dora

might be a little hard to tell cuz of their coloring

Mitzi, Lillith is a Larry. Good looking cockerel.

Noooooooo!! She's my baby girl! She sits on my lap and eats bugs! We discuss what a beautiful GIRL she is all the time. Every day I ask her, "Do you want to talk about what a pretty girl you are today, Lillith??" and she gets all excited. So see? She's a girl

Mean. You're just a mean woman lol!

mr peabody is totally easy going- it is possible yours just has all the awesome good traits? my bantam cochin roo is sweeter than any hen i know, except the faverolles of course

My LF Cochin roo is very mellow, (and Massive). It was so funny when I move him and his hen, (both Buffs) to the pen next to my bantam Buff cochins. What a contrast! - The bantam roos is my most rooster-like fellow; not agressive but the first to crow and struts around like he is so important. The bantam, Moonpie, is also my smallest adult roo!
- When they met they both puffed up and jumped at each other thru the fence. Wiley, (LF) looking way down and Moonpie looking way up. - 1.5 lbs. vs. 12 lbs. Soon enough they went back to being themselves - the Big Lubowski and Napoleon.
