I have divided Flowering Almond that way. My Grandmother had it in her yard and it makes me think of her. It even is pretty in the winter. The branches are red.

That is where I got my forsythia, my Gma's bush, I took cuttings and rooted them years ago. My cherry tree is the same, an offspring of my Gma's original tree.

I really hope we have a get together this year. It doesn't have to be such a big event this time, just a potluck and exchange opportunity would be fine with me. If we can find an outdoor pavilion somewhere that will let us bring chickens it could work and be less work for planners. And I don't mind helping plan. Is the Tulsa area one still going on?

Poco planned the Tulsa area one last yr, maybe she will chime in. I will be sad, as will my girls, if we don't have a poops this yr. Taron saved everything for the egg contest & plans on us doing it again.

thank you jcatblum saw sammy toiday brought tears to my eyes was so happy he look ok he still at the vet hosp still a little problem breathing so they keep him longer .his bleeding in his lung has stop. will see him tuesday and every day he at the vet! on anotyher notes my sis-in-law call to let me know my mom his sick so will see her tuesday also and will keep my phone on

Yep I took the chicks but would have split the box with you if I'd known. I just wanted some blue egg layers. Now I'm thinking I need to raise em up and sell em to that kid in 3 months at 28 a bird. Lol and totally agree the glorified bake sale was out of hand. They should just have her set up a table at the back. But then she probably wouldn't get $3 for 4 pieces of peanut brittle

Gary tilled up a new bed for me yesterday (the one I dug all the raspberries out of and am remaking) well when he did he tilled up a nest of snakes. I felt very bad about it they were just little garden snakes, but we gathered up the mutilated bodies and ...........................................



Took them to the girls, who ...........

My husband saw 3 Crows dive bombing a hawk today, they chased it off. Do crows do that?
Could I talk anyone into 2 Orpington roosters for free? Not yet a year old. When I bought them we thought they were all pullets (so did the seller).

Yep crows and blue jays will do that- also heard having a black turkey can deter hawks- not sure on that one- good to hear from you! I miss seeing you online-

on POOPS, it would be nice just to have a potluck as a focal point and bird swap, haven't heard anything about a date or not for it

i'm starting to think ebony's egg is dead- i haven't seem a change in 3 days- looks like about day 17, but how do you tell? today she has gotten very nippy, so maybe it is alive, any way to tell?
