Erin just hold onto those extra plants. Last yr I lost hundreds in a hail storm-- back up plants are a good thing! Also to sell them at market it will be a lot of headache. You have to get your nursery license & your sales tax permit in addition to whatever else your local market wants. You can take them to the chicken auction & not have to worry about any of that & sale them all at once! That would be my vote.
Thanks for the info. I figured it was going to be more complicated than my husband was saying. Will have to check out some auctions. I have bucket loads of tomato plants because I didn't trust the seed source I had for them and planted more than I normally would have ... but I'm such a wuss that I can't bring myself to kill off any of the seedlings that are growing. How bad is that?? And there is NO way I have room to plant 27 plants each of 12 different varieties of just tomatoes.
