Robin, UK orpingtons are very different from American Orpingtons. They are much more fluffier, like cochin without the feathered legs. There are lots of examples on the internet.

Late morning, Okies:

Hope the temperature stays mild. I enjoyed feeding and watering without having to wring out a sweat band. DB in California had to cancel his visit with us. Wife and two-year-old niece aren't up to making the trip this year. Maybe when the baby is three we'll finally get to meet her. DS in FL will probably visit this winter. Can't wait to see how tall our nephew has grown. We get pictures all the time, but it's not the same as hugging them.

Donnie - You're right, and your grandmother gave you some great advice. Hope you get a lot done outside while you have the opportunity.

I use a small amount of bleach every time when I clean my incubator. Just be sure you rinse good and let it get good and dry.

I was told to use a cap full in the water tray (it is a lg/deep tray) in my GFQ to keep the slime out of it. Seems to work pretty good.

1 - 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. Helps keep the bacteria growth down when doing staggered hatches.
