Paint yer tires white, chances are you were trying to grow baked potatos. Putting a temp probe in one would be interesting.

Does anyone put a little bleach in the drinking water to help keep the algae down or am I imagining I heard that.

Yep! I do. Helps keep mosquitoes from laying eggs in the water also.

If you have city water it's already in there. But yes you can add just a tad, a drop or two, to stave off algae.

Here are a couple of pics of my white chick.
He/she is brooding with the last two chicks from my late Mille Fleur Cochin roo. They are a week younger than "Snowball".
I'm, in my novice experience, thinking it is going to be a Splash?

Any experience with chicks this color?

It does look like it could be a splash.

Very few chicks pop out of the shell white, I wonder if they carry the silver gene?

The hen is a Black Mottle and the roo is a Mille Fleur!

Just stopping by to check in and say hello! Buckguy thought to check in on me after the tornados hit Chickasha. My family and I are well, it missed my parents' place by 1/4 mile! I hope everyone else is doing well, and that no one was affected by the severe weather.

Happy chickening!
Cammie

Edited to add: I was looking at the very original Okie thread and noticed that I actually posted on the first page! My how time flies!

Yeah! It's Cammie!
Glad to know that the tornados missed you. It seems that there is a well beaten path through Chickasha and Moore that the tornados seem to like.
