***OKIES in the BYC III ***

400

Should have it finished tomorrow I hope. I have to mount the doors put shingles on and put the wire on. And I need to paint some of trim white for some accents

I knocked over a water bucket when I was filling the feeder in a pen than has a broodie momma, and she immediately told her babies to, "Come get a drink!" Why is it that chickens ignore the clean food and water we provide, but devour the old, stale, and yucky bits that end up on the ground? I wish I'd know this little guy in the second picture was going to try to catch a ride. The photo's blurry, but you can see what's happening. The Marans momma is raising three crosses, and the little cockerel in the photo wants to be taller than anything else in the pen.

Cuteness. I have a broody sitting on eggs now, she went broody after I hatched out all those eggs in the incubator.

I have often wondered that very same thing why they run after dirty water you pour out of a container they were ignoring just before dumping out, and totally ignore the clean fresh water you put back in the container????

Those that have multiple roos together w/ hens, My head roo Oreo doesn't mind the other boys mating w/ his girls at all he never gets upset or chastises them even when they do it right beside him, is this common at all?????
