***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I still need to get that Wheaton from you. I swapped a couple of Japanese bantam roos and a hen for four easter egger hens last weekend. Just waiting for them to settle in and start laying. Still need to build the new coop but this new job is keeping me very busy and I am canning and freezing veggies from the garden all the time it seems. More pickles this weekend and lots of squash and zucchini to vacuum seal and freeze. I'm tired

Would you also like little pullet that is from the same Wheaten Ameraucana roo but from a Blue Ameraucana hen? She is really pretty, blue under feathers.
The two pullets are hatchmates an inseparable. If not I have a Wheaten pullet that is a month older.
I am going to Newcastle tomorrow night. I can bring them or her.

I have some bunnies to take to Newcastle and a couple hens, it's gonna get warm though so have to take plenty of water, I was talking to Micheal D he said someone he knows took some rabbits early and lost several in the heat, I guess that someone with access needs to update the The New Oklahoma Auction/Swap List I tried Scoots number and it isn't working anymore..

I sent a very showable Brown Red OEGB male and three hens to breed him to for more good males, a pair of Columbian breeders, and about 50 young birds in Birchen, Silver Blue, OE, Black Rosecomb, Birchen Rosecomb Breeder birds, a few Golden Birchen cockerels, so should be a decent selection of birds tonight.
I doubt I make it but the birds did.

i found an egg with almost no sell in my chicken coop to day, wonder if it was from heat stress?
it happens sometimes, often it is due to not enough calcium- my girls have been laying well in the heat, except i have the makings of a broody epidemic - what are yours eating and do they get oystershell?
