HI Micheal, I am not sure what the hen in the picture is, she looks like a Hatch type, I am looking for the color pattern more than anything, she is a blue with red on top, I have her mated to "Brat" the rooster in my avatar!!!! You live an awful long ways from me, but I might make it that way some day!!!! Send pics if you have any hens that look anything like her!!! Thanks, Lynn

Hey Joe!!! How are things, I could still use a couple Brown Leghorn hens that are young enough they are just about to start laying!!!! That is where mine are in age!!! Question!!! Do all the Large Brown Leghorns tails hang down or do they look like my White Leghorns tails with a nice arch to them??? Thanks, Lynn

Evening folks! How is everyone??

I have had a nice relaxing evening in the house! Catching up on laundry & watching TV. First evening all week I have been in the house. Made homemade laundry soap, can't wait to try it. Will have to make some bar soap soon.

I hatched hot 11 turkey's, a few bantam EE's & a NN so far. I sure hope more of them hatch. My temp got off & I'm not sure if the rest will hatch.......

The wind is picking up, hoping we have some good rain...

I know I know gets is ready... but I sure wished it hadnt turned into such a project...lol but its been fun tearing out the sheet rock.. ha ha ha

Most of the eggs the hens are laying on... have been exploding... or getting crushed... its so sad to see nearly ready babies die such a senseless heat stroke such as the heat wave we are getting..

so far the American is winning with 5 babies alive and very much kicking... the other 6 hens... 0

A BIG THANK YOU TO MICHEAL for our Naragensett Tom and Hen... Roseanne is very very happy and already taking his flirtations... (He was more than happy to say hello the first night we got him

We have named him TurkeyChan (instead of Jackie Chan...lol) cause he was already putting the ninja moves on her in a loving way... ha ha ha and he is doing great with all her babies too... its amazing to see how even allowed the babies to hide under his feathers... such a great Step dad...
