Good morning everyone. It looks like it will be windy as heck this day but I done care. I have eggs in the incubator that are hatching left and right. 1 day early, but hatching none the less.

Yep..weatherman here in the southeast has issued a "small dog" advisory because of the wind. Hope we don't get a fire because it will really spread in this wind.

Way the wind is blowing here lately hate to go out and look at roosters on string walks. Figure when the wind gets high I will have rooster kites. Yes wind and fire is absolute worse combination. This is the first year my son didnt go to Falls Creek in several years. He is now an adult and adult things like a job get in his way of other things. But I am proud of him, he is socking lots of his wages back for college.

Well, we have moved the date back a while. Seems like we were all moving to fast so we have slowed the pace. We will see. God is in control so I trust him.

Does your church have any youth going to Resonate?
Grace is going to work with the sign language group and I have my two oldest grandsons going for training in the Media/Technology area. My oldest daughter will be teaching in the sign language classes and my oldest granddaughter is helping in the Drama area. Sounds like a fun week at OBU. I think they have around 200 signed up this time. There will be a free (open to the public) concert on Saturday July 9th, at the Raley Chapel, where the young people will be presenting the skills they have been learning during the week.

Fed and watered early. Picked and washed collard greens. Ready to cook for lunch.

On some muscle rexalers because I did something to my back and neck yesterday...not sure what...could be pulling the water hoses around the garden and hooking up to the soaker hoses in the garden beds. Pain is a killer and the meds make me feel dopey.

Looking forward to the rains that are coming this evening...need huby to help me cover outside roosts with tarps when he gets back from checking cows on the leases.

Inside most of the day for me though...feet up in my favorite recliner with a dog by my side.

Hi Monty - you're back!

I'm on my way out to my aunt's birthday party in Goodwell, OK. Will take 3 days to get there, eat cake, and come home. I must drive slower than Teach!

I got to see Poco Pollo today!

When we were leaving Falls Creek I saw a bus that said "Panhandle Baptist Association"
I was thinking wow that is gonna be a long drive back home for those kids.
That must be some good cake if you are driving three days for it. Why is it really gonna take you three days? Are you gonna B&B a few times on your way out? May be stop and see the bats fly or something? Maybe its just that its only seven hours but seems like three days.
If you want to strike up a conversation with folks out that way why not take a little tree along with you for "Show and Tell!
Be careful! I hear tell there is a crazy man that lives in Hooker that has been known to throw pigeons at people.

Is that part of the Super Summer at OBU? I know we have some going to Super Summer.

Atwoods has their Nursery stuff 75% off. I stopped by the Altus store today while I was picking up my CSA share

Scored 3 of each apple, peach, blueberry
1 plum, nectarine, apricot. They had figs too but I passed on those.

The blueberry plants & 2 apple trees actually had fruit on them. Everything I bought was less than $100 & the apple trees were in 7 gallon pots! Very big trees. But thankfully everything fit in my van with the seats down. (just need to vacuum it good now)

Lawton store had pear trees but nothing else & we already have pear trees.

Some boots are also marked down50% or more - scored a pair of Boggs for me & both girls plus DD got a pair of cute justin boots. Can't wait for a rainy day so I can wear my boggs!

Looks like a big storm rolling in from Kansas, could have strong winds , hail and heavy rain, guess I better go batten down the hatches!!! I lost my Kelso/Black Shuffler cock today, I guess the heat got him, or the wormer I gave him killed him, I just wormed him with wormzall pills yesterday!!! I have a few eggs in the bator from him and two Toppy hens! Hope some of them hatch and I end up with a Blue Spangled rooster out of them!!!! That is what I wanted to try to breed out of them!! Have a good nite all, I am gettin off now!!! Lynn
