I teach in Downtown OKC, only 18 miles from Choctaw but a world away. The garden and chickens are therapy.

We have now lost ALL of the gains from the big rain a few weeks ago. My big beautiful pond is starting to look like an African watering hole you see in those National Geographic specials.

I'm expecting any day now to look out my window in the morning and see a herd of wildebeests.

I hear you...retired from a suburb of OKC...injured on the job stopping a fight. Long story short..we corral cattle and chickens instead of teens now.
