***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Morning, guys.

Breakfast was hot oatmeal and grits for those of the family who hate oatmeal. *Points at myself* So guess what the biddies got this cold morning!

They love oatmeal, too, let me tell you!

And my Brewster is doing just fine; he was out there sweet-talking his hens the whole time I was there giving them oatmeal.

Nanakat, that's why I'm getting them. I got a little sidetracked with chicken love over the last couple of months and forgot exactly why I started this whole chicken endeavor in the first place. By this autumn I'm hoping I can start giving eggs to the food pantries in Skiatook regularly.

Cute calf!!! Guess the super bowl is over. I know I'm a football grouch. My husband usually watches but he was working. I missed the commercials. That is actually my favorite part of it, the funny and cute commercials. We did catch the last 15 min of it and I saw those but nothing like the ones during.
Kid's school was called off. Gave the chickens the fermented feed and they inhaled it. Especially the boys.
I'm thinking of talking Hubby into going to the auction in Nowata this coming Sat. They said they had the kinks worked out... maybe that means heat? Anyone else planning on going? When is the one in Coweta? (Is that the one near Muskogee? I don't know my directions.)
