I did some watering of plants and such after I got everyone settled in for the evening didn't seem quite so hot with a waterhose in my hands
I actually got a lot done this evening or it seemed like it, bad thing is most of it I could have to do every day in this weather,
I've lost 2 hens to the heat in the last week, I think they both were probably the oldest I had,
My newest Barred rock roo is requesting a trip back to the sale barn
Seems I can't turn my back on him and after the first time we had a serious talk about how futile
it was having only one spur anyway and the other being dull as a spoon,
Now I think I know why he was at the sale in the first place with a broken spur.
Funny thing is he don't attack to protect his girls he only does it when I'm feeding and not keeping an eye on him then all of a sudden he's all over my backside
thumping me with his one blunt spur
Still a surprise every time though, maybe I'm the one not learning here
