***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I need to ask off from work so is the Date June 14th set in stone yet?

Thinking about ideas for donations to the raffle, maybe iris bulbs for sure, they seemed to be a hit a few years ago. Might have time to try and sew something chicken related not sure about that one though.

Made a contribution to the KOSU NPR pledge drive and gave a shout-out to all those peeps on backyardchickens.com! When they put it on the air they said "She'd like to encourage everybody with a backyard chicken to give." I laughed out loud in my car.

Cute hatch! Just asking...Do you use snippers to cut the irregular toe bumps on the regular toes like you would dew claws on a puppy?

IDK what to do, that's kind of why I posted- I've never hatched silkies before and although I knew they had 5 toes I didn't know they sometimes hatched with extra digits. I don't know if this is normal or not since I've never hatched them. The lady I bought the eggs from said they were mixed colors so I think these are more "pet quality."

@nanakat unless you're planning on showing, the extra toes shouldn't be an issue, should they? Maybe even the opposite! Think of the wind shear those babies could roost through!

I hope you made a difference too! Our district didn't release school, and with five kiddos, I never have any spare sick days in the spring, so I couldn't go. My heart was with you all though.
