***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Good morning all, we got some rain yesterday morning here and it is raining slow and soft here this morning. Have to go in for a blood draw this morning. I have a rooster and four hens of Cuckoo Marans for sale if anyone is interested, they are around a year old, they are feather legged. I bought them as chicks from the Blanchard auction last year, they are currently laying, get usually two eggs a day from the four hens. I posted pics yesterday of some of the. I want $50 for all of them. Also the Guy Rose Auction WILL have an auction this weekend, Guy announced it last Saturday!!! Starts at 9am, Junk and Chickens sold at same time, with two auctioneers!!! Have a Blessed day!!! Lynn

Thanks for the penicillin info. I will look at the feed store and ask if I can't find it. My hen is confined, so she's not going to be able to put much weight on her foot. I will read more about the sugar/honey poultice.

Or lots of diet Dr. Pepper, since I prefer my caffeine to be served cold.

It is thundering here, but no rain to speak of yet. The cracks in my chicken run are wide enough to swallow a baby chick.

One of the silkie hens hatched 11 chicks yesterday. Not all of them appear to have the vaulted head of a silkie, so I am wondering if one of the two bantam roosters - which are the only non-silkie roosters that free range - might be a daddy.

Glad you are back on your feet. I hope you will holler if you go back to the hospital for any extended time - so I can come and visit you. Oh wait, maybe that is why you didn't let us know you were in the hospital . . . that and a lack of internet in the hospital. I don't know why hospitals don't have wireless internet for the convenience of their patients and their families.

P&B sent your info.

We have a small chance for rain today...looks like it might go south of us. We did get a small shower last night so we now have a total of 5/8 since yesterday morning....so need it.

Hubby's gone to help fix his MIL car...so I'm going to go finish weeding the lima bean bed that I started last evening.....but I need more coffee first.

Has anyone heard from the Jarvis family about an update on Stephanie's sister? Have been thinking of them this week. Neither has posted in a while.

I move to the cold caffeine once I get the coffee down. VBS is taking it out of me this year but the kids are so much fun.

I haven't heard from Steph or Carl & she hasn't posted any updates that I know of.......

What kind of goats, age, breed, sex etc. Been looking for some Guy

Sorry, Mike D. bought them from me. You might want to contact him, as he will no doubt sell them.

Mike always gets first crack at my goats. He gets them for less than he would at auction because he picks them up, which saves me the hassle of trucking them somewhere.

I will have one left. My three legged nanny, who appears to be pregnant with twins, if not triplets. This pic is from several months ago...

That 3 legged goat should be easy to milk.
