Soccer has started again for us......it is too stinking hot for that.

Kassaundra: Even though I got the Dr. Who reference, I was still secretly hoping that a sonic screwdriver was also some stealth "adult beverage" menu item you could get at Sonic's happy hour if you just knew the right code!

There is one up around Joplin on Saturday morning. I thought I saw on here earlier where one was being held around Afton, OK, but never got a response when I asked. I am copying from another poultry club's event announcements here: Turkey Creek Feed Store in Joplin, MO 2 blocks East of Rangeline Rd on 20th street
Notes: It is usually a pretty good sized swap.
Free Set-up.

Unfortunately, we don't have much information on our auction links regarding the Afton swap/auction. Perhaps someone who has been there can provide more details

I did find a link to their website http://aftonpoultryswap.com/
It
looks like the Afton poultry swap is on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month - so it will be July 16 - 17

There will be a holiday swap this weekend Sat.-Mon They always do holidays as well as the 3rd weekend of the month. Planning on being there early and leaving when it starts heating up.

Sure am glad you said something! I was only looking at the dates in the left hand column and totally overlooked the schedule for the holiday weekend. Now I need a smilie icon for slapping my own head

There should be one Friday at 5:30pm, East of Harrah.
Auctions are scheduled for July 2 (Saturday) at Cement and at Newcastle

Here is a link to the Oklahoma auctions that we know about

That is great! I knew someone would have more info. Now if I only had more chickees to sell or trade.
Oh, wait, there were forty-three newbies hatched out this morning in the incubator.
Kinda sad. I swore this would be my last batch of the summer. they sure are pretty.
All those colors, and so much cheeping, so many wishes for pretty outcomes....
It's a hatchaholic's bad dream, the end of hatching. Oh well, less noise from the
incubator in the dining room might make up for it. Nah, it won't.

Morning all, hope it proves to be a good day, and a great holiday weekend. Everyone enjoy the celebrations stay safe and as cool as possible.

Looks as though it will be busy around here, as ussual.

NanaCat,
I will let you know which ones we have that turn into roosters in the few weeks as they mature more, I beleive I may hatch a few more of the Blue Cochins and then sell the breeders and raise replacements for next year.

If anyone is interested in some Bantam Wyandottes I have a trio 1 Black rooster, two Blue hens and a few assorted young ones to let go of. We will also be making a few more LF Columbian Wyandottes available as we have several coming up and some good ones that we raised out from last year. I will allow everyone on here the first opportunity and Post on CL mid next week.

Micheal,
If you are interested I have a pen of spare OE bantams hens, cocks, and cockrells and two nice silver sebright hens. I beleive it will be 3 hens 1 cock bird, 6 golden birchen cockrells, two silver sebright hens, and likely 2-3 very nice white OE hens. The sebrights and whites have been shown and did quite well we are just raising replacement breeders for next year.

As always call if interested
