***OKIES in the BYC III ***

just gave 13 chickens a lice bath boy am i pooped. I hope it works. When you use the adams flea/tick/lice dip is there a hold off period on eating the eggs?

That makes me angry. Did they ever complain about your chickens before?

No we had no clue they didn't like them, they aren't even near where the chickens are, other neighbors are much closer. They can't even see them from where they are, and doubt they can hear the crowing in their house.

well, i don't plan on breeding the boy, so he may end up a capon, if i can't get him to settle down, too pretty to dinner

I totally understand people trying to transform an aggressive roo, especially if they are in a run type situation, but in my case they run in the same area as my garden and the back 1/3 of the yard. I have to be able to get in and out w/ hands full of tools, equipment, garden spoils, etc.....

I'm sure there's not. Chances are you got more of the active ingredient in your system from bathing them with it than you'd get from eating eggs that came from them.
Can't help but mention though.....it's a whole lot easier to give them 4 or 5 squirts with Frontline Spray than it is to bathe and dip them all

Cutest chick ever! NN white with stripes and a buff/brown caping along the shoulders. Never seen this kind of color gradation in chicks - but I've not been doing chicks forever or anything. @Ksane this could be a baby from your showgirl roo. Color stinks in the camera.

Oh, and the latest calf - isn't she just adorable?! We think we will call her Malasada Cowgirl CPL.

What an adorable calf!

NN babies are very cute. I have never seen a bantam NN baby. They must be reduculously cute.
I think I am going to breed my Blue Showgirl hen, (from Betsy) with my Blue Partridge Showgirl rooster. Ezmeralda is laying and has already brooded one clutch of Marans eggs so as soon as she goes broody again I will let her hatch her own eggs. Baby Showgirls! Cuteness overload!
