***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I'm working on a curtain for the dining area. It is visually in the same space as the living room so I am coordinating colors. When it is finished it should be a 3D optical illusion globe, here it is now

It still needs a few more rows, but I finally got it to a size where I can start working on the illusion part. The whole curtain will be made w/ 1 and 3 inch squares, and this fabric is upholstery weight.

That's going to be one heavy curtain then! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

For those un-aware we have a new Poultry supply house in Mcloud, they have Oxine in stock for pick up or shipped, as well as drinking and feed cups, shipping boxes and many other good things.
The contact is Mike Geiss 405-761-8339 Mike is a great guy and is well known for his birds you can find them at many of the local shows or call them.

Are they open on Saturdays?

Yikes. I think I've only missed about 100 pages or something. I've had rocky mountain spotted fever. I don't recommend it.

Hope you are fully recovered!

@ Hotcurltr 1 x 4 lumber works well. I like the 4 inch side up so birds can settle on their toes.
Some C/W cross are like Cochin who prefer the ground or a low roost and others like the Wyandotte who prefer the nest box. Hard to know til they go broody. Yes I've given banty eggs to a large fowl with lf eggs to help carry the load. Your hen won't need the heat lamp if her cage is protected from draft. I give them hay on top of a paper liner. She will keep her chick toasty.
Cute pups. Cjarvis gave the doses for Oxine. I won't not have it on hand....I use it almost every day for something. I even have a spray bottle in each bathroom and in the kitchen for disinfecting. It is food safe.

Quote: Called Mike to see what hours were ...really a nice guy. He is actually at a chicken show in Kansas this weekend but returned my call and we had a nice visit. They operate out of their home and at larger poultry shows so hours are by appointment in the evenings. They have a dealer's license and purchase in bulk and try to make the best prices available. I'll certainly be keeping the contact information and will be checking in with him again..

Looking for pullets that have just started laying. I need 2 perferably a breed that lays well but is a horrible flyer. My backyard girls will be 3 years old so I should see a drop in production and need 2 more to fill the gap. I have 3 growing boys that love eggs. Not getting any now.

I saw that one. That's about par for most of the toms. Lol. And yeah, I'm pretty much recovered. At least I'm done with the antibiotics. Still having muscle aches and weakness but they said that can last awhile.

I've heard it can be horrible. So sorry you went through that, and glad to know you're better.

Thanks. We caught it early. First we thought I might have meningitis so I actually went to a doc instead of riding it out like it was a virus. When my dad who is severely immunocompromised didn't get sick after being around me, we knew it wasn't contagious and started looking at other things. We had gone camping a few days before.

New birds in the snow this morning. Its always great to see their stunned reaction to the snow. The all pile in the doorway to the house. Lol.
