***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Is anybody going to the Coweta auction Friday night? It's looking like a good show, and the auction house said there might be Cemani.

Do auctions have warm spots in the winter, other than that spot where someone spilled their coffee?

What kind of lineup are they expecting at Coweta this week? I'm not finding finding much info about it.

This was their facebook update last night:

"COWETA POULTRY AUCTION!!!!!!! Friday November 21st 6:00 p.m. at the Wagoner County Fairgrounds in Coweta, OK. The fairgrounds are located just of Hwy 51 behind the Football field complex. We will start checking in consignments at noon. Great sale lining up. OEGB's is Crele, Brown Red, Ginger Red, Blue Ginger Red, Splash, Spangled and more. Will have Golden and Silver Seabrights as well as some Butterscotch Call ducks. I have also received a message that we will have a pair of Cemani Chickens at this months sale. Lots of the birds above are NPIP certified. We also will have a 1500 series GQF Professional Incubator as well as lots of other equipment. Have had lots of calls of several breeds of laying hens as well. Don't want to miss this sale. REMEMEBER!!! Cages do not have to sell with the consignments so bring cages for your purchases and by the sae token if you are selling and want to leave quickly bring cages your birds can sell in. We pay all consignors the night of the sale. We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard , and Discover as methods of payment 3% convenience fee applies to the cards. Hope to see you there."

The Cemani sound like the highlight of the auction.

I'm so sorry you lost your pretty girls. It seems odd both would die on the same day. Chickens typically do okay in the cold unless there are complications. Be sure to keep a close eye on the rest of your flock.

I thought it odd too. But it has been a week and the rest of the flock is fine so far. Idk? Very strange.

Ty for this info.
On the Oxine,
1/8 Tsp per gallon will sterilize the water, 1/4 Tsp per gallon will keep the algae out of the water. You can use it occasionally or all the time it will not hurt anything.

1 tsp per gallon for sterilizing eggs and incubator / hatcher

You can also use it to "fog" an area by adding citric acid crystals, this is good for brooders or buildings where you might keep birds or other livestock.

For those who keep dogs Oxine will kill the Parvo virus it is a wonderful product very useful

If you're on FB, Crozier auctions has a page, otherwise they should have a Craigslist page. I don't think they've updated the Craigslist yet, though.
